Upholstery & Leather
When it comes to cleaning leather if you spend like 10 minutes on QVC or watching infomercials you are probably going to see a “magical” product that promises to take care of Upholstery & Leather like no other thing you have ever seen in the world. The truth is, some products actually do work others don’t. We couldn’t really tell you what goes into a real product that is going to help you out cleaning out leather what we can tell you is this. Whichever product you, do choose you are usually going to be at a disadvantage compared to our services!
The No Water Rule Certain types of things like leather and other types of fabric, people usually warn to stay away from the use of water while cleaning them out. That is why we see all of the different products that we were just talking about. We get a lot of questions from people that want to know what the best way to take care of leather is, and if the no water rule applies. It really depends on the type of fabric, but we usually do use at least a little bit of water. Of course, the idea is not to drown your furniture, but it really depends! Couches Leather couches are strange in that, some people want to keep everything as tight as possible. They like the look of a strong couch. Others will actually like more of a loose couch that you can almost sink on when you sit in it. We get a lot of questions about how the way that you clean your couch could affect its look and feel moving forward. If you want to have a softer leather couch we can actually make that happen for you by applying different types of chemicals. If you want to keep it tight we can also help out. For the most part, though normal products won’t have a huge effect on them. Stains Like with any piece of furniture, or just about anything around your home, you may be worried about your upholstery getting stained. For the most part, leather can handle stains very well. Here is where the no water rule may not apply. A lot of times, it can be better to try and remove the stain quickly rather than letting it sit. What we don’t want is for the stain to get literally hard and then become more difficult to remove. Leather In Cars The problem with leather in cars is that it will usually be subject to more things that are detrimental to it. Like excessive sunlight for instance. Although that may not seem like a huge deal for us here. We can make sure that your leather seats stay looking fresh for a long time. Regardless of the type of use that you put them through. Just give us a call every time you need to get your car ready for that next date, or a very important meeting that you may have coming up! |
